A true one-of-a-kind
The Zenit glass manufactory has its origins in 1875 in the small Saxon town of Meißen, where it was first established by Louis Döhler, the great-grandfather of the current owner. Since then, not only the business but also the knowledge of the art of glassmaking has been passed down from generation to generation. The manufactory is currently in its fourth generation and is operated by Frank Döhler, whose career is distinguished by sophisticated and artistic glass objects. His philosophy is: „Only when the four elements achieve a perfect symbiosis does the smoking experience reach its peak“.
Zenit places great value on preserving tradition, so to this day every piece is lovingly crafted by hand, making each one a true original. Only high-quality borosilicate glass is used for the production of the pieces, which is distinguished above all by its high break resistance and durability. The CNC standardisation of the joints additionally ensures a precise fit and a pleasant smoking experience without unwanted air ingress.
The products are finally branded with a logo and heat-treated in an oven over an extended period – a process known as annealing. This serves to relieve the glass of internal stresses and thereby provides additional stability. During production, cleaning with aggressive acids is deliberately avoided, with alcohol and water used instead, which preserves the smooth glass surface and prevents dirt from adhering so quickly.
We have been working with Zenit for almost 15 years and during this time have jointly developed outstanding products and fulfilled many customer wishes.
